Boot Camp F.A.Q.s

What is Boot Camp?

Boot Camp Assistant is a free utility that comes with Macs that enables you to switch between macOS and Windows.

My program requires a Windows laptop. Can I use a Mac laptop instead?

Yes, however, we recommend that all students come prepared to succeed in their programs by adhering to that programs’ device specifications and come to Sheridan with a device that meets or exceeds their programs’ requirement. See Laptop requirements for Sheridan's Mobile Computing Programs for details.

What are the requirements for Boot Camp?

What resources are available to help me Boot Camp my Mac?

Apple provides online articles that will help you get started with Boot Camp on your Mac.
Visit: Getting Started with Boot Camp on my Mac .

If you require further assistance, we recommend visiting an Apple Store. Apple provides limited support for installing and running Windows. You will need to make an appointment. The Microsoft Store will also assist with Boot Camp for a fee.
