[Aug. 8, 2017] As per the recommendation by Sheridan’s IT User Experience Governance Group*, the Windows 10 operating system will be rolled out in Sheridan’s academic spaces in the coming weeks. Specifically, Windows 10 will be made available as follows:
* The IT User Experience Governance (UX 360) group has been established to address the technology needs of end users in Sheridan’s academic, administrative and common spaces. One of the primary mandates of this group is to recommend technology standards that are of benefit to the Sheridan community.
** Faculty members whose laptop is not being refreshed, can request for Windows 10 to be installed on their machine. Please book a Service Desk appointment to make arrangements.
Windows 10 offers several benefits, of note to Sheridan users is that you will experience much faster login times and enjoy a customized desktop that features handy shortcuts to frequently accessed applications and services, including Access Sheridan, SLATE, the Service Desk Chat Utility, and the Microsoft Office suite.
